OUR MISSION
Affinitalia is an entirely Italian organization, which offers Italian Language Classes and Courses on Italian Culture in London and Brighton. Created in 1998, Affinitalia is now well established in London as a dynamic, professional Centre of Italian Culture: a point of reference for those who want to learn Italian language or improve their knowledge of Italian Culture.

OUR METHODS
Our teaching methods aim at developing the student's communication skills (oral and written), through active interaction from the very first day. All our classes are conducted in Italian to give students the maximum exposure to the language and each grammar topic we teach is immediately contextualized in the conversation.
The content and methodology of our courses conform to the very latest research on modern language teaching and our tutors are periodically retrained in the most up-to-date teaching techniques.

OUR DIRECTOR
director of Affinitalia is Stefano Fava who, after teaching Italian Language and Literature for many years in the UK both in Universities (University of Essex, London King's College University) and in Adult Education institutions (The City Lit Institute, Southwark College, South Thames College etc.), is now dedicated to choosing, directing and training the tutors in Affinitalia's team to ensure a consistent and homogeneous teaching approach inside the school.

OUR TUTORS
All tutors in our team are native Italian; graduates from Italian Universities in subjects related to Italian Culture (Italian Language, Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, History) and have extensive experience in teaching Italian as a foreign language.

SMALL CLASSES
Small classes are an essential feature of our school. We strongly believe that this is a vital condition for students to get the best out of their study.

CENTRAL LONDON. All our courses are held at Avalon Institute , 9 Great Newport Street, London WC2.

CHOOSING YOUR LEVEL
In order to make sure students are enrolling to the most suitable levels, they will take a test during the week previous the beginning of the courses. The test will take places at the school at a convenient time for the students, or in case the student cannot come to the school, a telephone test can be arranged.

Terms and Conditions

Enrolment is automatic once payment has been received. We regret that we cannot accept payment of fees by instalments.
Fees are exclusive of books.
Students should consider their personal commitments and circumstances before enrolment as we regret that no fees are refundable under any circumstances once the course has started. No partial refund can be granted for classes not attended and no postponement can be allowed.
Cancellations must be made in writing at least three day before the beginning of the course and are subject to a 10% charge of the total course fee.
Affinitalia reserves the right to cancel a course in cases of insufficient student numbers. In which case a full refund will be made.
